Call to Order

Brad called the meeting to order at 2:37pm, and led us in the Pledge of Allegiance

Roll Call                                                                       -Lane Heatherwick

Andy called the roll. There were 7 directors, and 49 members and guests present.

Secretary's Report                                                     -Andy Rousonelos

Brad asked if everyone had received their minutes, and if there were any additions or corrections. It was reported that the date of the February Meeting was incorrect in the December minutes. The meeting will be held February 8th, not 9th. Alan made a motion to accept the minutes as published. Jack seconded that motion, and it was passed by all present.

Treasure's Report                                                       -Fred Lestina

Fred reported we had income of $86 from the pedal tractor raffle at the Newark Toy Show, $111 from the monthly December 50/50 raffle, and donations of $3,000 from a generous member. For expenses, we paid $446.07 for marketing and P-R work. Jean made a motion to accept the report as read, it was seconded by Jack, and it was passed by all present.

Old Business

Brad thanked everybody for faring the cold, icy weather, and for bringing so many great dishes to pass for our Christmas Party. Jean Kestel was thanked for decorating the hall for our party, and all who brought silent auction items were thanked.

The Christiansen brothers were thanked for their help in securing the use of the Wilton Federated Church Hall each month, to hold meetings.

Steve and Cindy Spiess were thanked for allowing us the use of their front yard for our showgrounds, we couldn’t ask for better landlords and a better location. We had a successful year and have received lots of positive feedback.

The club has joined the Peotone Chamber of Commerce, and they will be advertising our show in their handouts.

New Business

The Peotone FFA Alumni sale will be held on Sunday, February 24. Russ Jacobs will represent us and sell pedal tractor raffle tickets. If you would like to help, please see him.

Terry Seggebruch has invited us to tour his extensive tractor collection at his home near Morris on February 24th. He will be providing us with lunch as well, so we will need a head count. Please call Brad no later than February 17 to sign up.

Mel & Eileen Meinheit and Monroe Striggow graciously donated a number of items to the club, including a John Deere hit-and-miss engine, clipper fan mill, small corn sheller, & 4-ft pto tree saw. Thank you to Jeff & Corey Brandau, Bob Homerding, & Charlie Kestel for going to Crete to pick everything up.

It was asked if we would like to do another show book, like we used to sell at past shows. We have not done one since the 50th show in 2012.

Adjournment:

Russ made a motion to adjourn the meeting. It was seconded by Jeff, and was passed by all present.
