'The old-fashioned way' Threshermen preparing for annual reunion at Dollinger's Family Farm
The Will County Threshermen are working in the fields to gather the grain. If a modern day farmer was in the field, he or she would use a “combine” or combine harvester to cut the wheat, thresh it and winnow or separate the wheat chaff from the wheat grain.

Farm history came alive for a group of homeschoolers at Dollinger Farm in Channahon. During the Antique Tractor Show on Friday a group of about 20, adults and children, received a personalized tour by steam tractor driver, Tom Runty.
